My art primarily deals with my every day emotions and responses.

Poetry and music are key sources for inspiration, and I am currently drawn to the writings of Frederico Garcia Lorca, Pablo Neruda, Japanese Haiku and Judith Wright.

Various words and phrases stimulate my emotional responses, which evoke images and colours. This is the starting point and I rely on intuition and visceral feelings to guide me through my works.

I respond to each new mark as it appears before me.

Painting is my passion. / November 2010
